“Find a penny, pick it up, and all the day you’ll have good luck.”
Which got me to pondering.
If a found-and-picked-up penny will give you good luck for a day, what happens if you find a tuppence? Do you get twice as much good luck that day? Or good luck for two days?
Also, if you drop a penny on purpose, with the express intention of leaving it there so someone else can find it and thereby gain the good luck, does that also work?
