The Egg Pool, near Bamburgh in Northumberland. Named due to its shape, it sits on the rocky coastline just north of Bamburgh Castle. Beautiful place.

Lovely. I really ought to go back to Northumberland coast some time. Such a beautiful and relatively unspoiled part of the country.
The beaches are great and really quiet compared to the those further south
I love Northumberland. As soon as Stephen gets back, I want us to spend a lot more time up there, as he knows it well. This is a gorgeous photograph Dave.
I’ll send you directions to the Egg Pool of you like. 🙂
Beautiful, I love Northumberland it is a really magical place
it’s so beautiful and the beaches are brilliant. Even on a glorious summer day there was plenty of room, unlike some of the beaches further south!
